Seattle reeled off 5-1, 4-1 and 6-1 victories, before making the long trip to Chicago for a three-game showdown with the White Sox.
The Mariners took the series opener 5-1, and then rebounded from a 1-0 defeat with a 6-5 success in the series finale.
Houston Astros Form
Houston return home after a mixed road trip that saw them go 3-4 across their seven games.
The Astros went into that trip on the back of a successful stint at home that saw them win five times in seven games.
They made a losing start in Texas though, falling 1-0, and then failed to build on a 6-3 victory over the Rangers as they lost the next meeting 5-1.
Houston settled for a split of that series as they won the finale 4-3, and they were able to back that up with a 4-3 victory at Tampa Bay.
The Astros have not won since however, suffered 3-2 and 8-4 defeats at the hands of the Rays.

Houston are back home where they have been in strong form in recent weeks.
