Chicago found some form in their next series though, as they swept the Athletics with 18-3, 7-4 and 10-2 wins, and they backed up those success in their opening home series.
The Cubs recorded 3-1 and 7-1 victories over San Diego, before seeing their winning run end with an 8-7 defeat in the series finale.

Chicago have taken the first two games of the series and are backed to take the third too.
Shota Imanaga has been outstanding in his last few starts, so the Cubs may not need many runs to get the job done.
