Despite the loss the Rangers are the team in better form, and they have the pitching advantage with Merrill Kelly in good form while Astros counterpart Cristian Javier continues to post losses.

Texas made the short trip to Houston on the back of a defeat, but in good form with 13 victories in their previous 17 games.
The Rangers started this run at home where they bounced back from a 4-0 defeat to the Los Angeles Angels with 7-3 and 20-3 wins.
They then went out on the road to sweep the Athletics in three games, winning 5-2, 9-3 and 9-6, but they failed to back up a 7-5 series-opening win in Arizona as they lost the next two games, 5-3 and 2-0.
Texas responded to those losses as they sandwiched an 11-0 home defeat to Houston with 4-3 and 4-2 wins, and they followed that up by beating Milwaukee 5-0, 5-4 and 6-3.
The Rangers extended their win streak to six games with 8-3 and 3-2 victories at the New York Mets, only to see it end with a 5-2 defeat in the series finale.
Houston Astros Form
Houston entered this series seeking some consistency following an underwhelming run that had seen them lose nine of their previous 15 games.
The Astros’ disappointing form began with 4-1 and 3-0 home losses to the Los Angeles Angels, and they then failed to back up a 8-3 victory in the final game of the series.
They sandwiched an 8-7 victory over the New York Yankees with 7-1 and 8-4 defeats, before losing 4-3 and 4-2 to Texas either side of an 11-0 victory over the Rangers.
That trend continued as Houston then bounced back from a 4-3 defeat in Toronto with a 3-2 win over the Blue Jays, only to lose the final game of the series 6-0.
The Astros made a better start in Atlanta though, recording 11-3 and 6-2 victories, but they missed out on the sweep as they were beaten 8-3 in the last game of the series.
Verdict
Texas need to issue an immediate response to last night's loss, and we expect them to do that.
They are still a team in good form and they do have a pitching advantage in this one.
