Thompson stopped the rot with a decision win against Vicente Luque, and then backed that up with a decision victory against Geoff Neal.
However, ‘Wonderboy’ has not had his hand raised since that success against Neal in December 2020.
He suffered back-to-back decision defeats to Gilbert Burns and Belal Muhammad to fall to 16-6-1.

‘Trailblazer’ enjoyed the best run of his UFC career in 2020, when he fought no less than five times and won all five fights.
