The Mavericks, who went 50-32 in the regular season, had to rally from losing their opening game in each of the first two rounds to advance to the Western Conference Finals.
They bounced back from losing Game 1 at the LA Clippers by winning four of the next five games to progress to the second round.
Dallas repeated that in the second round too, as they dropped the first game at Oklahoma City only to respond with four wins in five games to seal another 4-2 series success.
The Mavericks have made a better start to this series though, having claimed an early lead with a 108-105 win in Minnesota on Wednesday night.

Minnesota enter this matchup looking to knot up the Western Conference Finals series at 1-1 before heading to Dallas.
The Timberwolves, who went 56-26 in the regular season, cruised through the first round as they swept Phoenix in four games.
They made a red-hot start to their second round series too, recording back-to-back wins in Denver, only to then lose their first two home games of the series.
Minnesota’s skid reached three games with a 112-97 defeat on the road, but they responded with a 115-70 win at home, and then clinched with a 98-90 victory in Denver.
The Timberwolves failed to follow that up though, and now find themselves trailing early in this series, having lost 108-105 at home to Dallas in Game 1.
Verdict
Minnesota may have dropped the opener, but there are plenty of reasons for optimism.
