Los Angeles go into this meeting with the defending champions on a three-game win streak.
The Lakers endured a poor run of form after winning the NBA In-Season Tournament, but they have steadied the ship in recent weeks.
They beat Portland 134-110, and then bounced back from a 127-116 defeat to the LA Clippers with a 141-132 win over Chicago and a 145-144 double overtime victory against Golden State.
Los Angeles failed to win their next two, losing 135-119 in Houston and 138-122 in Atlanta, but their response has been strong.
The Lakers have followed up a 114-105 win in Boston with a 113-105 victory in New York and a 124-118 win at Charlotte.
Verdict
Denver have found some momentum and are backed to keep it going against the Lakers, especially if LeBron and Davis are missing for the hosts.
