Denver head back to Oklahoma City having surrendered their series lead with that home defeat in Game 4.
The Nuggets made the perfect start to this conference semi-final, winning 121-119 on the road, but they failed to follow that up as they lost 149-106 in Game 2.
They rebounded with a 113-104 overtime win in their home opener, only to again give up the lead as they lost 92-87 on Sunday.
Denver earned their place in the playoffs with a 50-32 record, but had to work hard for their first-round victory over the LA Clippers.
The Nuggets and Clippers when the full seven games, with the hosts finally wrapping things up with a 120-101 victory.
Oklahoma City Thunder Form
Oklahoma City return home having levelled for the series once again with that Game 4 victory.
The Thunder made a disappointing start as they were beaten 121-119 at home, but they responded instantly with a 149-106 blowout of Denver to pull level.
They fell behind again in the series as they lost 113-104 in overtime on the road in Game 3, only to again bounce back quickly and knot the series at 2-2 with a 92-87 victory.
Oklahoma City compiled a league-best a 68-14 record to finish top of the Western Conference and book their place in the playoffs.
The Thunder then continued that dominance in the first round of the playoffs as they beat Memphis 131-80 and 118-99 at home, and 114-108 and 117-115 on the road.
Verdict
Momentum has swung back in favor of Memphis, but we like Denver with the free points.
Three out of the first four games have been close ones, so taking the Nuggets and all of those free buckets has to be the play here.
