Denver head to Oklahoma having forced this winner-takes-all showdown with a huge home win in Game 6.
The Nuggets opened this series on the road and made a dream start as they beat the Thunder, 121-119.
They then rebounded from a 149-106 blowout loss with a 113-104 overtime win in their home opener, but they failed to back that up as they lost 92-87 and 112-105.
That left Denver needing to win at home on Thursday night, and despite being underdogs they got the job done, winning 119-107 to force Game 7.
The Nuggets earned their place in the playoffs with a 50-32 record, and they were made to work for their first round win as they went the full seven games with the LA Clippers.
Oklahoma City Thunder Form
Oklahoma City return home having passed up on the opportunity to wrap up this series with a game to spare.
The Thunder endured a nightmare start to the series as they were beaten 121-119 at home by Denver, but they limited the damage with a 149-106 blowout win in Game 2.
They then dropped their road opener 113-104 in overtime, only to rebound strongly as they won 92-87 in Denver and 112-105 at home.
That put Oklahoma City within one win of advancing, but they failed to record that victory on the road as they lost 119-107 in Game 6.
The Thunder put together a league-best a 68-14 record in the regular season, and they eased through the first round of the playoffs as they swept Memphis in four games.
Verdict
We like Oklahoma City to win this at home, but we have no confidence in them as a spread bet.
Denver have repeatedly covered the number in this series, especially as an underdog, so for what is probably one last time, we are taking the Nuggets and the free buckets.
