The Rockets have struggled for much of 2024 so far and have not strung together wins since the very start of January.
They ended a three-game losing sequence with a 127-126 overtime win over Utah, only to then lost 116-107 to Boston and 137-131 to Portland in overtime.
Houston then sandwiched a 106-104 defeat in Brooklyn with a 138-104 victory in Charlotte and a 135-119 win against the Los Angeles Lakers, but they have won just once since then.
The Rockets rebounded from a 110-99 defeat to New Orleans with a 135-106 blowout of Toronto, but they failed to back that up as they then lost 111-90 in Minnesota and 132-129 in Indiana.
Toronto Raptors Form
Toronto return home looking to build on a victory that brought a close to a six-game road trip.
The Raptors went out on the road on a four-game losing skid and dropped the opening game that trip, 126-125, in Atlanta.
They rebounded from that narrow loss and finally ended their skid a couple of nights later as they won 118-107 in Chicago, but they were unable to follow that up.
Toronto were beaten 135-106 when they paid a visit to Houston, and that was followed by a 135-127 double overtime loss to Oklahoma City and a 138-100 defeat in New Orleans.
The Raptors avoided a fourth straight loss though, winning 123-117 in Charlotte on Wednesday night.
Verdict
Houston's road record makes for ugly reading, so we expect Toronto to make home advantage count in this one.
