They went on a couple of six-game losing skids in January, but they did look set to finish the month on a positive note when they won 118-104 in Detroit and 118-113 at San Antonio.
Washington failed to keep that run going, losing 125-109 when they returned home to face the LA Clippers on January 31.
The Wizards then lost their first three games of February, losing 110-102 to Miami, 140-112 to Phoenix and 114-106 to Cleveland.
Boston Celtics Form
Boston come into this game in solid form, having now won 10 of their last 13 games to reach 39-12.
The Celtics rebounded from a loss in Milwaukee by sandwiching a 105-96 win in Toronto with home wins against Houston, 145-113, and San Antonio, 117-98.
They then bounced back from a 102-100 defeat to Denver by heading out on the road to beat Houston 116-107, Dallas 119-110 and Miami 14-110.
Boston failed to make it four-in-a-row as they lost 115-96 at home to the LA Clippers, but they again issued an immediate response to a loss by beating New Orleans 118-112 and Indiana 129-124.
The Celtics then suffered a 114-105 defeat at the hands of the Los Angeles Lakers, only to hit back with a 131-91 blowout of Memphis and a 125-117 success against Atlanta.
Verdict
Boston should win this one, but they have had issues covering the spread recently so we are taking Washington and the points.
