Indiana go into the second game of the series looking to respond to a loss before heading home for the next two games.
The Pacers, who went 47-35 in the regular season, downed Milwaukee in six games in the first round, responding to a Game 1 loss with four wins in five games.
They then embarked on a marathon series with New York, which required all seven games to determine a winner.
Each team won their first three home games of the series, before Indiana finally broke that trend with a series-clinching 130-109 victory in Game 7.
The Pacers failed to follow that up in the opening game of this series though, as they surrendered a late lead and lost 133-128 in overtime in Boston.

Boston will look to follow up their Game 1 win and take control of this series before heading out on the road.
The Celtics, who put together a league-best 64-18 record during the regular season, booked their place in the Eastern Conference Finals with 4-1 series wins over Miami and Cleveland.
They responded to a shock 111-101 home defeat to Miami in Game 2 with 104-84, 102-88 and 118-84 victories to advance from the first round.
Boston also lost the second game of their series with Cleveland, but again they hit back with a run of three consecutive victories, beating the Cavaliers 106-93, 109-102 and 113-98.
The Celtics then took their win streak to four games, and drew first blood in the conference finals, by beating Indiana 133-128 in overtime in Game 1 on Tuesday.
Verdict
Boston continue to stack up playoff wins, but they have rarely covered in recent weeks.
