Miami booked their place in the playoffs by going 37-45 in the regular season before successfully navigating the Play-In Tournament.

Cleveland secured their place in the playoffs by compiling a 64-18 regular-season record to finish top of the the Eastern Conference standings.
The Cavaliers entered this series on a mixed run of form though, having won eight of their final 12 regular season games but just two of the final five.
They compiled a couple of three-game winning runs to start this sequence, before cooling off following a 120-113 loss to Sacramento.
Cleveland bounced back with a 135-113 victory over Chicago, and then responded to a 114-112 defeat in Indiana with a 108-102 win in New York.
The Cavaliers closed out the regular season with a 126-118 double overtime defeat to Indiana, but they issued an immediate response in Game 1 of this series as they beat Miami 121-100.
Verdict
Cleveland have not been the most reliable of spread bets in recent weeks, but they delivered big time in Game 1.
The Cavaliers look fresh and sharp, and that gives them the edge over a Miami team that is playing their fourth straight road game after making it through the Play-In.
