Milwaukee claimed their spot in the postseason by putting together a 48-34 record to finish fifth in the Eastern Conference.
The Bucks entered the playoffs on a roll too, having bounced back from a four-game losing run with eight consecutive wins.
They responded to the 145-124 home loss to Atlanta on March 30 with a 133-123 win over Phoenix, and then headed out on the road for a perfect three-game trip.
Milwaukee beat Philadelphia 126-113, Miami 121-115 in overtime and New Orleans 111-107, before returning home to down Minnesota 110-103 and New Orleans 136-111.
The Bucks then won back-to-back meetings with Detroit to close out the regular season, winning 125-119 on the road and 140-133 in overtime at home.
Their win streak ended in the opening game of this playoff series though, as they were beaten 117-98 in Indiana.
Indiana Pacers Form
Indiana earned their trip to the playoffs by putting together a 50-32 record to finish fourth in the Eastern Conference.
The Pacers also entered the postseason on a good run of form, having won seven of their previous eight games.
This good run started on the final day of March as they beat Sacramento 111-109 at home, and they backed up that victory by beating Charlotte 119-105 and Utah 140-112.
Indiana then ran out 125-120 winners in Denver, before returning home to take down Washington 104-98 and Cleveland 114-102.
The Pacers’ run was finally halted by a 129-115 home defeat to Orlando, but they rebounded in their regular season finale to win 126-118 in double overtime in Cleveland.
They then followed up that victory in Game 1 of this series, as they downed Milwaukee, 117-98, over the weekend.
Verdict
Indiana have been on a dominant run on the home court since the All-Star break.
The Pacers also tend to get the better of the Bucks at home, so we are backing the hosts to deliver again in Game 2.
