Oklahoma City go into this matchup on the back of a blowout loss but still holding a series lead.
The Thunder demolished Minnesota in the series opener, 114-88, and followed that up with a 118-103 win to successfully defend their home court.
However, they were unable to keep that winning run going in Game 3, as they went out on the road for the first time in the series and were blown out by the Timberwolves, 143-101.
Oklahoma City came into Western Conference Finals on the back of a seven-game series, but having played just one more game than the Timberwolves.
The Thunder swept Memphis in four games in the opening round of the postseason, reeling off 131-80, 118-99, 114-108 and 117-115 wins.
The second round was not a straightforward though, as it took them seven games to finally eliminate Denver.
Oklahoma City fell behind early as they lost 121-119 and 113-104 (OT) either side of a 149-106 victory, but they turned it around with three wins in the next four games.
The Thunder won the next two, 92-87 and 112-105, before bouncing back from a 119-107 defeat with a series-clinching 125-93 success at home.
Minnesota Timberwolves Form
Minnesota enter Game 4 having breathed new life into their championship hopes with a huge victory on Saturday.
The Timberwolves returned home in a desperate position after suffering back-to-back convincing defeats in Oklahoma City, 114-88 and 118-103.
They got themselves back in the series over the weekend though, as they produced a record-setting first half to set themselves on their way to a 143-101 victory.
Minnesota came into the conference finals on a dominant run, winning eight of their 10 games to set up this showdown with the Thunder.
The Timberwolves made a dream start to the playoffs as they beat the Lakers in Los Angeles, 117-95 in Game 1.
They then rebounded from a 94-85 loss with 116-104, 116-113 and 103-96 victories to secure a place in the second round.
Minnesota dropped their opening game against Golden State, 99-88 at home, but issued an emphatic response to win the series 4-1.
The Timberwolves reeled off four consecutive wins over the Warriors, advancing to the Western Conference Finals thanks to 117-93, 102-97, 117-110 and 121-110 wins.
Verdict
We still like Oklahoma City in this series, but Minnesota are the play at home in Game 4.
They are in great form on the home court and the Thunder are yet to cover on the road in the playoffs, so we will take the hosts and the free buckets.
