Alabama go into this Sweet 16 showdown having rebounded from their semi-final defeat in the SEC tournament with back-to-back wins in the national competition.
The Crimson Tide made a disappointing end to the regular season as they lost four of their final seven games, but they rallied in the conference quarter-finals.
They beat Kentucky 99-70, only to then bow out in the semi-finals as they lost 104-82 to Florida.
Alabama put that behind them in the first round of March Madness as they beat Robert Morris, 90-81.
The Crimson Tide then backed that up in the second round as they opened up a double-digit lead before half-time on their way to an 80-66 victory over Saint Mary’s CA.

BYU enter this matchup having upset Wisconsin in the second round for their 11th win in their last 12 games.
The Cougars dropped a couple of games in early February, but responded strongly as they closed out the regular season on an eight-game win streak.
They kept that run going in the quarter-finals of the Big 12 tournament, as they advanced to the semi-finals with a 96-02 victory over Iowa State.
BYU failed to make it nine-in-a-row though, as they exited in the quarter-finals thanks to a 74-54 loss to Houston.
The Cougars rebounded from that loss with an 80-71 win over Virginia Commonwealth in the first round of March Madness, before downing Wisconsin in the second round, 91-89.

Alabama led the nation in average scoring this season and BYU do not have the defensive dogs to slow them down.
