The Wolfpack ended the regular season with a flurry thanks to CJ Bailey and the offense, while the Tigers are out of form and are in the midst of a coaching change.

Memphis enter the Gasparilla Bowl having suffered a disappointing second half of the regular season, losing four of their final six games.
The Tigers opened the season with four straight non-conference wins, including a 32-31 success against Arkansas.
They then kicked off their American Conference schedule with a 55-26 victory at Florida Atlantic and a 45-7 blowout of Tulsa.
Memphis’ run was ended by a 31-24 defeat at UAB, but they rebounded over the next couple of weekends to stay in the conference championship hunt by beating South Florida 34-31 and Rice 38-14.
The Tigers failed to maintain that momentum though, as they closed out the regular season by losing 38-32 to Tulane, 31-27 at East Carolina and 28-17 to Navy.
NC State Form
NC State missed out on the ACC Championship, but they did win three of their final four regular season games to finish 7-5 and earn a Bowl Game appearance.
The Wolfpack opened with a couple of non-conference wins, before kicking off their ACC slate with a 34-24 victory at Wake Forest.
They failed to keep that run going as they fell 45-33 at Duke and 32-21 to Virginia Tech, and they were then unable to build on a non-conference win as they lost 36-7 to Notre Dame.
NC State returned to ACC duty after that and responded to a 53-34 loss at Pitt with a 48-36 upset of top-10 ranked Georgia Tech.
The Wolfpack lost 41-7 at Miami two weeks later, but they did end the regular season on a high as they beat Florida State 21-11 and North Carolina 42-19.
Verdict
NC State ended the regular season with some momentum, with the highlight being that stunning win over Georgia Tech.
Memphis, on the other hand, went cold in November and failed to recover, so we are leaning towards the Wolfpack in this one.
