The Redhawks opened the season with a 37-13 defeat at Kentucky and went 2-2 in non-conference play over the first four weeks.
Things got worse for them in conference play as they lost four of their six games against MAC opponents.
Miami OH produced a late flurry to improve to 4-4 in conference play though, finishing up the regular season with a 29-23 win at Northern Illinois and an 18-17 win over Ball State.
The Redhawks were unable to make it three-in-a-row though, losing 24-20 to UAB in the Bahamas Bowl.

Miami come into the 2023 season looking for some serious improvement after going 5-7 last year.
The Hurricanes started with a couple of commanding wins, beating Bethune-Cookman 70-13 and Southern Mississippi 30-7.
They would not win another home game after that though, with one of their five defeats being an embarrassing 45-31 loss to Middle Tennessee.
Miami did notch a couple of victories on the road, beating Virginia Tech 20-14, Virginia 14-12 and Georgia Tech 35-14, but that is as good as it got.
In response, Hurricanes head coach Mario Cristobal oversaw a massive roster shake-up in the offseason.

Miami have done some serious recruiting in the offseason as they attempt to turn the programme around.
