Miami Ohio enter the MAC Championship having rebounded from a couple of late season defeats with back-to-back wins to finish 7-5.
The RedHawks opened the season with three consecutive defeats, before finally getting off the mark with a shutout win over Lindenwood.
They then kicked off their MAC campaign with four consecutive wins, beating Northern Illinois 25-14, Akron 20-7, Eastern Michigan 44-30 and Western Michigan 26-17.
Miami Ohio’s perfect college record received its first blemish when they lost 24-20 at Ohio, and that was followed by a 24-3 home defeat to Toledo.
The RedHawks got back on track over their final two regular season games though, as they won 37-20 at Buffalo and beat Ball State 45-24.

Western Michigan go into the championship game riding a four-game win streak that lifted them to an 8-4 regular season record.
The Broncos also opened the season with three non-conference losses, before kicking off their MAC campaign with a 14-13 win over Toledo.
They then registered another non-conference win, before improving their MAC record to 3-0 by beating Massachusetts 21- on the road and Ball State 42-0 at home.
Western Michigan’s run was ended by a 26-17 loss at Miami Ohio, but they rebounded to beat Central Michigan 24-21 at home a week later, and that proved to be the start of a four-game run.
The Broncos backed up the win by downing Ohio 17-13 at home, before heading out on the road to beat Northern Illinois 35-19 and Eastern Michigan 31-21.
Verdict
Western Michigan dropped the regular season meeting, but they appear primed to get revenge in the best possible fashion.
The Broncos have momentum firmly on their side and can cover a small spread as they win this.
