Navy steadied the ship on the road though, as they beat East Carolina 34-20 in their penultimate conference game.
The Midshipmen then closed out the regular season in the best possible fashion, as they upset Army in a 31-13 victory.

Oklahoma go into this game having lost six of the last nine, but a strong start to the season ensured they finished 6-6 to earn a Bowl invite.
The Sooners kicked off the campaign with three consecutive victories over non-conference opposition.
They struggled on SEC duty though, losing five of the first six games on their conference schedule, with the only win being a 27-21 success at Auburn.
Oklahoma did end their conference drought in sensational fashion though, as they took down Alabama in a 24-3 victory at home.
The Sooners failed to follow that up in their regular season finale however, as they were beaten 37-17 at LSU.
Verdict
Navy could not have asked for a better last outing, but Oklahoma can bring them back down to Earth.
The Midshipmen leaned on the run game to beat Army, and they will not be able to do that against a tough Sooners run defense.
