The Mustangs have dominated in their ACC debut, while Clemson are here because Miami choked on Saturday.

SMU go into their first ever ACC Championship Game riding a nine-game win streak that includes a perfect 8-0 conference record.
The Mustangs went 3-1 as they started with four non-conference games, and when the ACC schedule began they went on a tear.
Playing in the conference for the first time in school history, they reeled off eight straight wins that included a couple of wins over ranked teams.
SMU beat Louisville 34-27 on the road in early October, and then started November with a 48-25 victory over Pitt.
The Mustangs closed out the regular season with a couple of comfortable wins, downing Virginia 33-7 on the road and California 38-6 at home.
Clemson Form
Clemson claimed a spot in the ACC Championship Game despite losing their final regular season game to finish 9-3.
The Tigers were blown out by Georgia in their season-opener, 34-3, but rebounded with a run of six consecutive victories, including four conference wins.
That streak was halted by a 33-21 defeat to Louisville, but they bounced back with a couple of hard-fought wins on the road, beating Virginia Tech 24-14 and Pitt 24-20.
Clemson then made it three-in-a-row with a 51-14 demolition of The Citadel, only to lose the regular season finale against South Carolina, 17-14.
That loss did not prove to be too costly for the Tigers though, as Miami’s defeat at Syracuse later that day gifted Dabo Swinney’s team a place in the ACC Championship.
Verdict
SMU have been a force in the ACC, routinely winning games in comfortable fashion.
Clemson, on the other hand, have produced several underwhelming outings, so we expect the Mustangs to complete a perfect first season in their new conference.
