The Cowboys opened the campaign with a loss, but there were some signs of promise as they were narrowly beaten 24-20 at defending champions Philadelphia.
However, alarm bells began to ring a week later as they gave up a ton of points before finally seeing off the New York Giants in a 40-37 overtime win at home.
Dallas failed to back that up a week later as the offense was shut down in the second half in Chicago, resulting in a 31-14 defeat.
Dak Prescott and Co. responded to that with a 40-point showing a week later, but that was not enough to secure a victory for the Cowboys, as they went to a 40-40 tie with Green Bay.
New York Jets Form
New York enter this matchup still seeking their first win of the season, having now dropped four straight.
The Jets engaged in a shootout with Pittsburgh and former quarterback Aaron Rodgers in the season opener, but came up short in a 34-32 defeat.
That was followed by a 30-10 defeat when they hosted division rivals Buffalo a week later.
New York then went out on the road for their next two games and saw their losing start to the season reach four games.
The Jets fell to a 29-27 defeat in Tampa, before heading to Miami for a 27-21 loss to the previously winless Dolphins.
Verdict
Both teams have some serious issues, but the one area where there is no concern is Dalllas’ offense.
The Cowboys have been piling up points this season, so we are backing Prescott, Pickens and the rest to bail out a bad defense in New York.
