The Steelers made a winning start to the season with a 34-32 win at the New York Jets, and they then rebounded from a 31-17 defeat to Seattle with back-to-back wins before the bye week.
They beat New England 21-14 on the road and Minnesota 24-21 at home, and when they returned to action they downed Cleveland 23-9.
Pittsburgh’s form stalled after that as they were beaten 33-31 in Cincinnati and 35-25 at home by Green Bay.
The Steelers rebounded in fantastic fashion though, as they took down red-hot Indianapolis last weekend, 27-20.
Los Angeles Chargers Form
Los Angeles go into this matchup having won back-to-back games to improve their record to 6-3.
The Chargers kicked off the season with a 27-21 victory over Kansas City in Brazil, and backed that up by beating Las Vegas 20-9 and Denver 23-20.
Their perfect run was ended by a 21-18 defeat the New York Giants, and they then fell to a 27-10 defeat when they visited Washington.
Los Angeles avoided a third straight loss as they won 29-27 in Miami, only to then immediately return to losing ways with a 38-24 defeat to Indianapolis.
The Chargers have not lost since though, backing up a 37-10 victory over Minnesota with a 27-20 win in Tennessee.
Verdict
Pittsburgh just took down a red-hot Indianapolis team and they are backed to follow it up.
It could be a rough night at the office for Chargers quarterback Justin Herbert, who just lost another key cog in his offensive line.
