Road defeats to Pittsburgh (20-18) and Carolina (21-3) were followed by a 27-22 loss at home to Baltimore.
Tampa were able to snap their skid before the bye though, downing the Los Angeles Rams 16-13, and they backed that up with a 21-16 victory at home to Seattle.
That gave the Bucs the chance to climb above .500 in their return from the bye, but they passed up on that opportunity with a 23-17 overtime defeat in Cleveland.
They were able to make an immediate return to winning ways however, and they did it in dramatic fashion last Monday night.
Tom Brady threw two touchdown passes in the final three minutes as they snatched a 17-16 win against New Orleans.

The 49ers’ playoff quest suffered a setback in late October as they lost back-to-back games, but they rebounded before the bye.
A 31-14 victory at the Los Angeles Rams stopped the rot and proved to be the start of a five-game win streak.
Their return to action ended in a 22-16 win at home to the Los Angeles Chargers, and they then downed Arizona 38-10 on the road.
San Francisco made it four-in-a-row with a 13-0 shutout of New Orleans a week later, and although they registered an impressive win last time out, it came at a price.
The 49ers, who were already without Trey Lance, lost Jimmy Garoppolo to a season-ending injury.
That did not knock them off their stride though, as QB Brock Purdy led them to a 33-17 win against Miami.
