Washington head to Cincinnati looking to back up last weekend's big win over division rivals, the New York Giants.
The Commanders opened up with a 37-20 defeat when they visited Tampa Bay in Week 1, only to rebound with a 21-18 victory in their home opener against the Giants.
That victory over New York, which came courtesy of seven Austin Seibert field goals, ended a nine-game losing skid that dated back to last November.
Washington started the 2023 season with back-to-back wins over Arizona and Denver, only for their form to quickly nose-dive.
The Commanders won just two more games that season, with the last of those wins being a 20-17 victory at the New England Patriots on November 5.
Cincinnati Bengals Form
Cincinnati enter this matchup seeking a first win of the season, having suffered back-to-back defeats to start the campaign.
The Bengals were expected to come out on top when they hosted New England in Week 1, but instead they fell to a 16-10 defeat.
That was hardly the ideal result ahead of a trip to face the defending champion Kansas City Chiefs, but they did produce an improved display as they lost 26-25 at Arrowhead.
It was also a bad start for a Cincinnati team who are looking to get back to the postseason after missing out last time around.
The Bengals rallied after a slow start to the season, but four wins in their final six games were not enough to see them into the playoffs.
Verdict
Cincinnati may be 0-2 but there are reasons for optimisim after that narrow loss to Kansas City.
The Bengals offense showed improvements and can build on that against this bad Washington defense.
