Toronto head to Florida looking to continue a good run of form that has seen them win seven of the last eight and four straight.
The Maple Leafs were hovering around the .500 mark in early November, but found some form as they reeled off three straight wins, starting with a 4-0 victory over Boston.
They then beat Detroit 3-1 and Montreal 4-1, before seeing that winning run end with a 3-0 defeat to Ottawa.
Toronto rebounded immediately though, as they beat both Washington and Edmonton 4-3 in overtime.
The Maple Leafs then backed that up with a 3-0 shutout win over Vegas, before making it four-in-a-row with a 3-2 victory against Utah.
Florida Panthers Form
Florida enter this matchup looking to kick-start an improved run of form, having lost six of the last seven and four games in a row.
The Panthers enjoyed a red-hot run between late October and early November as they reeled off seven straight wins, including a couple of victories in Finland.
That run was ended by back-to-back home defeats to New Jersey, 4-1 and 6-2, and despite the 5-0 win in Winnipeg that followed, they have struggled to get back on track.
Florida went out on the road to lose 6-3 in Winnipeg and 3-1 in Chicago, and their form has not improved since returning home.
The Panthers were beaten 7-4 by Colorado, and then saw their skid reach four games with a 4-1 defeat to Washington.
Verdict
Toronto are a team in good form and they have been doing a strong job defensively.
Florida, on the other hand, have been the complete opposite over the past couple of weeks, so the Maple Leafs make for an appealing road underdog.
