PSG are tipped to win the Club World Cup Final on Sunday.

The European champions just blew out Real Madrid in the semi-finals and are likely to be too strong for this Chelsea group.

Chelsea Form

Chelsea started the Club World Cup with a 2-0 win against Los Angeles FC. Pedro Neto scored to establish an early lead against Flamengo, they conceded twice after half-time and couldn’t respond after Nicolas Jackson’s 68th minute red card.

Enzo Maresca’s side crushed Esperance 3-0 in their final group game after ending with 74% possession and 16-3 shots. Enzo Fernandez assisted Tosin Adarabioyo and Liam Delap before Tyrique George scored in added time.

The Blues were on track for a 1-0 win against Benfica in the round of 16. There was a long weather delay, they conceded an added time penalty before Christopher Nkunku, Neto and Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall scored in extra time to secure a 4-1 victory.

Cole Palmer scored early in a 2-1 quarter-final victory against Palmeiras, a late own goal securing a spot in the semi-finals. João Pedro got the start against Fluminense and made it count, the new signing scoring two goals as Chelsea won 2-0 in New Jersey.

PSG Form

Paris Saint-Germain started the Club World Cup with a statement 4-0 win against Atletico Madrid. They then had 75% possession and 16-4 shots in a shock 1-0 defeat to Botafogo, ending the group stage with a comfortable 2-0 win against Seattle Sounders.

Luis Enrique’s side thrashed Inter Miami 4-0 in the round of 16 with all four goals scored in the first half. João Neves netted the opening two goals and Achraf Hakimi was on target, his fourth goal in six games.

The Parisians beat Bayern Munich 2-0 in the quarter-finals. Désiré Doué opened the scoring in the 78th minute and Ousmane Dembélé ended the contest in added time after Willian Pacho and Lucas Hernández had been sent off.

PSG gave Real Madrid little chance in the semi-finals, scoring three early goals in a 4-0 victory. Fabián Ruiz scored twice either side of Dembélé, Gonçalo Ramos coming off the bench to wrap it up late on.

Verdict

Chelsea v PSG

PSG are clearly the best team in football right now, winning recent matches in comfortable fashion.

Chelsea could struggle to lay a glove on the French team here, so we expect PSG to record a straightforward win.
