Premier League Predictions: May 1st–4th, 2026
Another huge weekend of Premier League action lies ahead, with ten fixtures set to shape the title race, European qualification battle and the fight for survival.
Leeds vs Burnley
Friday’s opener sees Leeds host already relegated Burnley, with a comfortable home win expected at Elland Road.
While Leeds suffered FA Cup heartbreak last weekend, their Premier League form has been excellent. The Lilywhites are unbeaten in their last five league fixtures, helping them move six points clear of the drop zone.
Contrastingly, Burnley have continued to labour, and following the departure of Scott Parker on Thursday, are unlikely to offer much resistance against the in-form hosts.
I have my stake on Leeds to win, with at least two goals expected from Daniel Farke’s side.

Best Bet: Leeds to Win / Over 1.5 Team Goals
Newcastle vs Brighton
Newcastle’s dismal form is unlikely to improve when they host Brighton at St James’s Park on Saturday.
The Seagulls are flying, with six wins and just one loss in their last eight EPL fixtures. Up to sixth in the division, Fabian Hurzeler’s side should take advantage of a Newcastle side that has lost each of their last five matches.
The Magpies leaked two goals or more in four of those defeats, while Brighton scored a minimum of two goals in six of their last eight fixtures. A similar outcome looks likely on Saturday.

Bournemouth vs Crystal Palace
Bournemouth will be confident of picking up another Premier League victory when they face a Crystal Palace side potentially distracted by their Conference League semi-final commitments.
An outstanding run of form has seen the Cherries remain unbeaten for over three months, including impressive away wins at Arsenal and Newcastle this month.
With the Eagles set for a crucial second-leg clash against Shakhtar next week, Bournemouth can take advantage against a likely rotated visiting side.

Manchester United vs Liverpool
Old Trafford hosts one of the standout fixtures of the weekend as Manchester United take on old rivals Liverpool.
With both teams well placed to secure Champions League qualification, an open contest with plenty of chances should be on the cards.
I have a full stake on BTTS and over 2.5 goals, with a high-scoring draw a strong possibility in Sunday’s tea-time kick-off. Four of five previous meetings finished with the BTTS and over 2.5 goals double.

On Saturday, Wolves take on Sunderland in one of three 3 pm kick-offs, in a fixture unlikely to set pulses racing. Both teams have been off the pace in recent weeks, and a low-scoring affair looks likely to play out.
Also at 3 pm, Brentford and West Ham lock horns in a tough-to-call London derby. With both sides needing points in their respective battles for European qualification and Premier League survival, chances at both ends are expected.
BTTS is the best bet, with the Hammers capable of grabbing a point at the Gtech Community Stadium.
The final fixture on Saturday sees Arsenal continue their pursuit of Premier League title glory against Fulham at the Emirates. While little has come easily for the Gunners in recent weeks, they should edge a must-win victory.
On Sunday, Aston Villa host Tottenham in the late kick-off at Villa Park. Spurs are in desperate need of points, and with Villa potentially distracted by their Europa League return against Nottingham Forest, Roberto De Zerbi’s men could fancy their chances of securing a positive result.
Rounding off a busy Bank Holiday weekend, Chelsea host Nottingham Forest on Monday afternoon, with the Blues expected to pick up the points after an improved FA Cup performance against Leeds.
Later in the day, Manchester City face a stiff test against Everton at the Hill Dickinson Stadium. The Citizens have again found their best form in April, and should maintain their title push with a hard-fought away win.
