Bonzi Back in an ATP Quarterfinal
Benjamin Bonzi moved into the quarterfinals in 's-Hertogenbosch after defeating Ugo Humbert 6-4, 3-6, 6-3. He was broken only once and won 81% of his first-serve points in an impressive performance.
This is Bonzi's first grass-court quarterfinal since 2022, when he reached three quarterfinals on the surface. He lost two of those matches, with his only victory coming against Daniel Altmaier in Mallorca.
The Frenchman arrived this week with disappointing ATP-level results, having won only two main-draw matches in 10 tour events this season. However, he has enjoyed far more success on the Challenger Tour, where he has recorded four quarterfinal-or-better finishes in 2026.
Bonzi owns a 5-4 record in ATP quarterfinals, although he has lost his last two at this stage. His most recent quarterfinal victory came in Metz in 2024, a tournament he went on to win.

De Minaur Finds a Way Through Tough Test
Alex de Minaur defeated Martin Damm 7-6, 7-5 to reach the quarterfinals in 's-Hertogenbosch after receiving a first-round bye. He nearly let the opening set slip away after surrendering a 4-0 lead, but recovered to take the tiebreak, a key moment in the match.
This is De Minaur's fourth quarterfinal appearance in 's-Hertogenbosch. He lost at this stage in two of his previous visits before turning his most recent quarterfinal into the title-winning run in 2024.
After a strong start to the season, his results have dipped in recent months. Recurring hip issues in April also affected his consistency. He has failed to win consecutive matches in seven of his last nine tournaments, although his highlights this year include the title in Rotterdam and quarterfinal runs at the Australian Open and Monte Carlo.
The Australian owns a 5-3 record in ATP grass-court quarterfinals, with two of those defeats coming in 's-Hertogenbosch. He will be aiming to improve that record and make another deep run this week.
