Arlington head to the capital on a three-game losing run and in desperate need of a victory to stay in the playoff race.
The Renegades got off to a strong start as they blew out San Antonio 33-9, and they backed that up with an 11-9 win over Houston.
They failed to make it three-in-a-row as they lost 10-9 in Birmingham, but they responded emphatically with a 30-15 victory in St Louis.
Artlington have not won since though, starting a three-game losing skid with the 37-33 defeat at home to DC.
The Renegades then fell 12-6 at St Louis, before returning home for a 25-24 loss to Michigan last weekend.
DC Defenders Form
DC enter this game with the joint best record in the UFL, having won five of their first seven games of the season.
The Defenders lost their head coach on the eve of the season, but responded to that adversity in fantastic fashion.
They upset defending champions Birmingham on opening night, 18-11, and backed that up by beating Memphis 17-12 and St Louis 27-15.
DC’s perfect start was ended by a 24-18 loss to San Antonio, only for them to rebound a week later by winning 37-33 at Arlington.
The Defenders failed to follow that up, losing 38-14 in Michigan, but they again responded immediately to a loss, this time beating San Antonio 32-24 on the road.
Verdict
DC are the better team in better form, so while they have had some slip-ups, we do expect them to win this matchup.
