The Showboats dug themselves into an early hole as they lost their first four games, starting with a 26-12 defeat to Michigan.
They then sandwiched an 18-17 home defeat to Houston with road losses to DC, 17-12, and Michigan, 27-9.
Memphis finally got off the mark in Week 5 as they stunned Birmingham on the road, 24-20, but they failed to follow that up.
The Showboats were beaten 21-20 in Houston, and then returned home for a 19-9 loss at the hands of St Louis.
San Antonio Brahmas Form
San Antonio also go into this game with a 1-6 record, and with a return to the UFL Championship game now off the table.
The Brahmas made it all the way to the inaugural final a year ago, but they have been suffering a hangover from the shutout loss to Birmingham.
They opened up the season with three straight defeats on the road, losing 33-9 in Arlington, 26-9 at St Louis and 26-23 in Michigan.
San Antonio finally stopped the rot with a 24-18 upset of DC on the road, but that remains their only victory so far this season.
Since then the Brahmas have sandwiched a 26-3 loss at Birmingham with home defeats to Houston, 27-3, and DC, 32-24.

We have two teams with nothing to lose and two bad defenses that give up plenty of points.
