DC Defenders at San Antonio Brahmas Preview & Picks

DC are tipped to avenge their surprise Week 4 defeat to San Antonio.

The Defenders have been perfect on the road this season and can pull away from a Brahmas team that have struggled massively on offense since the last meeting.

  • DC Defenders are 2-0 on the road this season
  • San Antonio Brahmas have scored just 3 points in each of their last 2 games
  • San Antonio Brahmas’ 5 defeats have been by an average of 18.2 points
  • The Over has cashed in each of DC Defenders’ last 4 games

Head To Head

  • The all-time series is tied at 2-2
  • San Antonio Brahmas won 24-18 when the two teams last met on April 20

DC Defenders Form

DC head into this matchup with a 4-2 record, but having cooled off with two defeats in their last three games.

The Defenders made a sensational start to the season as they knocked off defending champions Birmingham on opening day, 18-11.

They backed that up with a 17-12 victory over Memphis, before heading out on the road for the first time to down St Louis inside the Dome, 27-15.

DC’s perfect start was brought to a surprise halt by the 24-18 defeat to San Antonio, but they issued an immediate response with a thrilling fightback to win 37-33 at Arlington.

The Defenders failed to make it back-to-back wins though, as they were beaten 38-14 at Michigan last weekend.

San Antonio Brahmas Form

San Antonio enter this game knowing that one more defeat will effectively end their season.

The Brahmas made it all the way to the inaugural UFL Championship last season, but they have suffered from a major hangover in 2025.

They opened the season with four straight road games and lost each of the first three; 33-9 in Arlington, 26-9 at St Louis and 26-23 in Michigan.

San Antonio finally got off the mark with a 28-14 win in DC, but failed to build on that as they were beaten 27-3 at home by Houston.

The Brahmas managed a solitary field goal in last week’s game too, as they fell to 1-5 with a 26-3 defeat at defending champions Birmingham.

Verdict

DC have cooled off since their hot start, but they are still one of the UFL’s better teams.

The Defenders will be determined to get revenge for that Week 4 loss, and given what we have seen from the Brahmas in recent weeks, the visitors are a good bet to get it.
