Michigan head to Houston looking to maintain top spot in the division with a sixth victory of 2025.
The Panthers opened the season with a 26-12 win in Memphis, only to lose 21-12 when they hosted defending champions Birmingham a week later.
They bounced back quickly though, backing up a 26-23 win at home to San Antonio with another success at Ford Field, beating Memphis 27-9.
Michigan failed to make it three-in-a-row as they lost 32-27 in St Louis, but they have not lost since that night.
The Panthers got back on track with a 38-14 victory over DC, and then followed that up on the road as they beat Arlington 25-24.
Houston Roughnecks Form
Houston go into this matchup on the back of a loss but having kept themselves in the playoff mix with three wins in their last five games.
The Roughnecks made a miserable start to the season as they were blown out at home by San Antonio, losing 31-6.
They then lost 11-9 in Arlington, before finally getting off the mark with and 18-17 victory when they visited Memphis.
Houston failed to follow it up as they lost 23-16 to Birmingham, but they did issues a strong response to that loss as they beat San Antonio 27-3 on the road and Memphis 21-20 at home.
The Roughnecks were unable to make it a hat-trick of wins though, as they were beaten 33-25 in Birmingham last time out.
Verdict
Houston enjoyed some improved form in recent weeks, but they largely feasted on bad teams, and Michigan are not a bad team.
The Panthers appear to be playoff bound after a couple of good wins, and we expect them to move a step closer here.
