St Louis head back out on the road having won back-to-back home games to improve their record to 4-2.
The Battlehawks made a strong start to the season as they travelled to Houston to blow out the Roughnecks on opening night, 31-6.
They backed that up a week later with a 26-9 win over San Antonio in their home opener, but their form collapsed after that.
St Louis were beaten 27-15 when they hosted Denver, before heading to Arlington for a 30-15 loss to the Renegades.
The Battlehawks have rebounded in recent weeks though, following up a 32-27 victory over Michigan with a 12-6 success against Arlington.
Memphis Showboats Form
Memphis enter this matchup knowing that one more loss will all but end their slim hopes of making the playoffs this season.
The Showboats opened the season at home and suffered a 26-12 defeat at the hands of Michigan.
They then fell 17-12 at the DC Defenders, before returning home for an 18-17 loss to Houston in a battle of winless teams.
Memphis’ winless start reached four games as they fell 27-9 in Michigan, but they finally stopped the rot in Week 5 as they sensationally won 24-20 at Birmingham.
The Showboats failed to follow it up last weekend however, as they were beaten 21-20 in Houston.
Verdict
St Louis’ offense was shut down a week ago, but they still found a way to get the job done.
The Battlehawks should enjoy some success against one of the league’s worst defenses this week, so we are backing the visitors to win their third straight game.
