Green Bay Packers at Cincinnati Bengals Picks & Betting Tips

Green Bay can make it four wins on the bounce and cover in Cincinnati.

The Bengals may be 3-1, but their wins have come against teams with losing records.

The Packers are rolling on offense and they will need to be with injuries to key defensive players.

This may come down to Joe Burrow vs Aaron Rodgers and if that is the case, I’m siding with Rodgers.

  • Green Bay Packers have won 3 straight games
  • Green Bay Packers are 3-0-0 ATS in their last 3 games
  • Green Bay Packers are 6-2-0 ATS in their last 8 games
  • Green Bay Packers have averaged 30.7 points per game across their last 3 games
  • The Over has hit in 6 of Green Bay Packers’ last 8 games
  • Cincinnati Bengals’ 3 wins have come against teams with a combined 2-10 record

  • Green Bay Packers won 27-24 when these teams last met in 2017

Green Bay Packers Form

Green Bay have rebounded from an embarrassing start to the season to take top spot in the North.

The Packers were blown out 38-3 by New Orleans on opening day but rebounded to win an important divisional clash with Detroit, 35-17.

They then made it back-to-back wins in dramatic fashion, driving downfield in the final 30 seconds to convert a game-winning field goal to beat San Francisco 30-28.

Green Bay took their win streak to three games with a 27-17 victory over Pittsburgh last weekend.

Aaron Rodgers has bounced back from his opening-day horror-show to go 80/124 for 897 yards, eight touchdowns and two picks.

Davante Adams has once again been his favorite target, hauling in 31 of his 45 targets for 373 yards and a touchdown.

Aaron Jones has 332 yards from scrimmage out of the backfield and leads the team with five TDs.

The defense has stiffened up too and now ranks #6 in total defense, while registering two takeaways in each of their last three games.

Cincinnati Bengals Form

Cincinnati have made a flying start to the season by winning three of their first four games.

The Bengals survived blowing a 10-point lead as they beat Minnesota 27-24 in overtime on opening day.

They suffered their first defeat of the season a week later as Joe Burrow threw picks on three straight pass attempts in a 20-17 loss at Chicago.

Cincinnati responded to that loss with a 24-10 win at Pittsburgh and 24-21 win at home to Jacksonville that saw Burrow mastermind a late drive that resulted in a walk-off field goal.

QB Burrow has gone 78/107 for 988 yards and nine touchdowns. He has four picks, three of which came in one game.

Ja’Marr Chase and Tyler Boyd have been stars of the passing game, combining for 556 yards receiving and five TDs.

Joe Mixon has provided the perfect balance on the ground, rushing for 353 yards and two scores.

Cincinnati’s defense ranks in the top 10 for total defense (#7) and average points allowed per game (#8).

Verdict

Cincinnati have so far feasted on bad teams and that makes me wary of backing them here.

Green Bay, meanwhile, have a much better track record and that offense is firing after a nightmare start.

Rodgers can lead the Packers to victory, but Burrow could make things interesting in a close game.
