The Green Bay Packers have dominated the NFC North for the best part of a decade, but will that dominance continue in 2021?

NFC North Predictions & Tips: Green Bay Packers

Aaron Rodgers WILL be starting at quarterback this season, and that means Green Bay are favorites to take the North title once again at -140.

Would that have been the case had Jordan Love been under center in Week 1? Probably not.

But Rodgers is back and you could hear the collective groan from the rest of the division when he arrived at Lambeau Field in his flip flops.

The Packers have a solid roster across the board and made it all the way to the NFC Championship Game last season.

It would be foolish not to make them the favorites now that Rodgers is at the controls on offense.

NFC North Predictions & Tips: Minnesota Vikings

Minnesota would have been the leading candidates for the favorites tag had Rodgers not opted for a return to Green Bay.

Offensively they have plenty of weapons surrounding Kirk Cousins who is a serviceable, but overpaid, quarterback.

Adam Thielen and Justin Jefferson are great targets through the air and Dalvin Cook is an elite running back.

Defensively they should be much stronger than they were in 2020, if everyone stays healthy.

Danielle Hunter is back from injury and Patrick Peterson could turn out to be a shrewd acquisition if he can rediscover some of the form he showed in Arizona.

The bookies have the Vikings at +250 to win the division and they do appear to be the most likely to challenge Green Bay.

NFC North Predictions & Tips: Chicago Bears

The Chicago Bears may well be the dark horse for the division.

Matt Nagy insists Justin Fields will have to sit behind veteran Andy Dalton, but the Ohio State star could force his coach's hand with his play in camp and preseason.

If Fields gets the starting nod those +400 odds on the Bears could soon shorten.

In Allen Robinson and Darnell Mooney he has two talented receiving targets, and David Montgomery could be set for a break-out season at running back.

Defensively this is still an outstanding group and if the offense finally does its part to keep them off the field more, we could see Khalil Mack & Co. dominate.

If they do, the Bears could be a sleeper pick to win the division.

NFC North Predictions & Tips: Detroit Lions

And what about the fourth team in the division – the Detroit Lions?

The Lions have not won the division since 1993 and they have once again undergone a coaching change.

They have also lost Matthew Stafford this summer, replacing him with Jared Goff, and that is a sizeable blow for them.

Detroit are +2200 to win the NFC North and it is hard to disagree with the bookies’ assessment!

Verdict

Rodgers is back and despite the moans about a lack of weapons, this is a strong Green Bay roster.

They are the team to beat in the division and while Rodgers is there, that is not going to change.
