Calgary Stampeders Form
Calgary visit the defending champions having bounced back from their first defeat of the season to improve to 2-1.
The Stampeders made it to the playoffs last season despite posting a losing record, and after a better start this time around they have their sights set on making the postseason in better form.
They opened up the season at home to Hamilton and were able to tame the Tiger-Cats in a 32-24 victory.
Calgary failed to back that up in their opening road game of the season, losing 26-17 at the BC Lions before their first bye week of the season.
The Stampeders issued a response though when they returned to action last weekend, knocking off Winnipeg in overtime, 22-19.
Montreal Alouettes Form
Montreal have made a dominant start to their defence of the Grey Cup, winning all four of their games so far.
The Alouettes opened with a rematch of last season’s final, and they once again got the better of Winnipeg as they won 27-12 on the road.
They backed that up a week later when they went back out on the road and downed Edmonton, 23-20.
Montreal finally played their first home game of the season in Week 3 and marked the occasion with a 47-21 victory over Ottawa.
The Alouettes then went back out on the road again last weekend, but kept their 100% record intact with a 30-20 success in Toronto.
Verdict
Montreal are looking more than capable of winning back-to-back CFL titles.
The Alouettes are off to a dominant start and continue to stack up covers, so despite the large spread we like the hosts in this one.
