The Argonauts kicked off the season with back-to-back home wins, but they have struggled for consistency since then.

They lost four of their next seven games and have strung together victories just once during this sequence.

Toronto beat Calgary 39-25 at home before their second bye week of the season, and when they returned to action they downed Saskatchewan 20-19 at home,

The Argonauts failed to make it three wins in a row however, as they went out on the road in Week 13 and fell to a 31-28 defeat in Hamilton.

Ottawa Redblacks Form

Ottawa go into this game looking to bounce back from a blowout defeat that ended their six-game unbeaten run and left them 7-3-1.

The Redblacks won just four games last season, but quickly passed that mark this time around as they won five of their seven games before their second bye week.

They went into that break on a three-game win streak, only to see it end when they returned to action and played out a 22-22 tie with Saskatchewan.

Ottawa responded to that stalemate with back-to-back victories, heading out on the road to beat Calgary 31-29 before returning home to down BC, 37-27.

The Redblacks failed to make it back-to-back wins over the Lions though, as they were beaten 38-12 last time out.

Verdict

Ottawa have been the better team though 13 weeks and Toronto have been terrible on the road.

So while history backs up the Argonauts, current form and records suggest it is the Redblacks who are the team to back in this one.
