The Roughriders have clearly been the better team this season, and struggling Toronto’s chance of an upset are diminished further by the absence of Nick Arbuckle.

Toronto head into their penultimate game of the season having already been eliminated from playoff contention at 5-11.
The Argonauts lifted the Grey Cup trophy in 2024, but dug themselves into an early hole this time around that they struggled to get out of.
They lost eight of their first 10 games of the season, before keeping alive their fading playoffs with a three-game run between late August and the first half of September.
Toronto beat BC Lions 52-34, Hamilton 35-33 and Edmonton 31-30, but they failed to maintain that momentum as they dropped their last three.
The Argonauts sandwiched a 27-22 defeat at the BC Lions with home losses to Montreal, 21-19, and Hamilton, 47-29.
Saskatchewan Roughriders Form
Saskatchewan have already booked their place in the playoffs thanks to an 11-4 record, but top spot in the West has not yet been secured.
The Roughriders made a fast start as they won their first four games, before rebounding from a first defeat with another four-game surge.
Their second streak of the season was ended by Calgary, but they issued an immediate response with back-to-back wins over Winnipeg, 34-30 at home and 21-13 on the road.
Saskatchewan failed to make it three-in-a-row as they lost 48-31 to Montreal, and that was followed by a 27-25 loss in Edmonton.
The Roughriders rallied last time out though, as they downed Ottawa at home, 20-13.
Verdict
Toronto’s season has been pretty disastrous and they have now taken the decision to shut down Arbuckle.
We expect Saskatchewan to take this one and move a step closer to a first-round bye in the playoffs.
