They wrapped up the regular season by rebounding from a run of three straight defeats with four wins in their final five games.
Philadelphia stopped the rot with an 11-1 demolition of Miami at home, and they then backed up that victory with a 1-0 win over the Marlins and a 3-1 success at home to Minnesota.
The Phillies dropped the second meeting with the Twins, 5-0, but issued an immediate response as they ended the regular season with a 2-1 victory.
Verdict
Los Angeles gave up a bunch of runs in the mid-to-late innings against Cincinnati, and that is a big red flag for this meeting with Philadelphia.
The Dodgers failed to make the most of a dominant Ohtani display when the teams met last month, and we could see similar scenes in this latest meeting.
