Milwaukee booked their place in the playoffs by compiling a 48-34 record to finish fifth in the Eastern Conference standings.
The Bucks enter the postseason on a roll too, having rebounded from a four-game losing skid with eight consecutive victories.
They rebounded from the 145-124 home defeat to Atlanta on March 30 with a 133-123 victory over Phoenix, and then headed out on the road for a perfect three-game trip.
Milwaukee beat Philadelphia 126-113, Miami 121-115 in overtime and New Orleans 111-107, before returning home to down Minnesota 110-103 and New Orleans 136-111.
The Bucks then won back-to-back meetings with Detroit to close out the regular season, winning 125-119 on the road and 140-133 in overtime at home.
Indiana Pacers Form
Indiana secured their trip to the postseason by putting together a 50-32 record to finish fourth in the Eastern Conference.
The Pacers also enter the playoffs on a good run of form, having won seven of their previous eight games.
This good run started on the final day of March as they beat Sacramento 111-109 at home, and they backed up that victory by beating Charlotte 119-105 and Utah 140-112.
Indiana then ran out 125-120 winners in Denver, before returning home to take down Washington 104-98 and Cleveland 114-102.
The Pacers’ run was finally halted by a 129-115 home defeat to Orlando, but they rebounded in their regular season finale to win 126-118 in double overtime in Cleveland.
Verdict
Both teams are in good form heading into this series opener, but we find ourselves leaning towards Indiana.
