Minnesota head out on the road for the first time in the series having opened up a commanding 2-0 lead at home.
The Timberwolves narrowly missed out on top spot in the Western Conference, finishing one game behind Oklahoma City with a 56-26 record.
Four defeats in their final 10 games proved costly in their pursuit of the number one seed, with two of those losses coming in their last three games.
Minnesota put that disappointment behind them in their first two playoff games though, recording back-to-back wins at home to Phoenix.
The Timberwolves drew first blood with a 120-95 victory, and then backed that up with a 105-93 win in Game 2.

Phoenix return home in desperate need of a win, having dug themselves into a hole with back-to-back defeats.
The Suns compiled a 49-33 regular-season record to fend off New Orleans in the race for the last playoff place in the Western Conference.
They finished the regular season in solid form, winning seven of their final 10 games, and in their last game they beat playoff opponents Minnesota, 125-106.
However, Phoenix failed to replicate that victory in the 'Twin Cities' in the first two games of this series, as they twice failed to break the 100-point barrier.
The Suns opened their postseason campaign with a 120-95 blowout defeat, and then lost the second meeting 105-93.
Verdict
Minnesota have looked good through two games, but we still find ourselves leading towards Phoenix.
The Suns have not lost at home to Minnesota since March 2021, and up until this playoff series they had repeatedly won and covered against the Timberwolves.
