Kalen Deboer has showcased his ability to develop quarterbacks, so with plenty of offensive weapons and a tough defense, the Crimson Tide are expected to be too strong for FSU.

Alabama enter the 2025 season with the aim of returning to the College Football Playoffs after missing out last year.
The Crimson Tide opened the 2024 campaign as a top-five team and catapulted themselves to the number one spot when they beat Georgia 41-34 in late September.
Their stay was short though, as they suffered a shock 40-35 defeat at Vanderbilt a week later, and they then failed to back up a 27-25 victory over South Carolina as they lost 24-17 at Tennessee.
Alabama rebounded with a three-game win streak, but their playoff hopes were destroyed when they lost 24-3 at Oklahoma in late November.
The Crimson Tide wrapped up the regular season with a 28-14 success against Auburn, only to lose 19-13 when they took on Michigan in the ReliaQuest Bowl.
Florida State Form
Florida State come into the new campaign looking to put a miserable 2024 season firmly behind them.
The Seminoles were left furious following their snub for the 2023 College Football Playoffs, and that seemingly led to a hangover in 2024.
They opened the season as a top-10 ranked team, but made a shocking start as they were beaten 24-21 by Georgia Tech in Dublin.
It was not until their fourth outing that Florida State got off the mark, beating California 14-9, but they failed to build on that as they then lost six straight, including blowout losses to Miami FL and Notre Dame.
The Seminoles ended that slump with a 41-7 win over Charleston Southern, only to close out the campaign with a 31-11 defeat to Florida.
Verdict
Alabama’s offense is loaded with weapons to support an inexperienced quarterback, and this Crimson Tide defense should be strong again in 2025.
They should simply be too much for a Florida State that will have to prove themselves after a terrible 2024 campaign.
