Houston are tipped to win the Texas Bowl and secure a 10-win season.
They have grown leaps and bounds under Willie Fritz, and while LSU will be glad to see the back of a disappointing season, the Cougars will want to cap off a good one for them.

LSU enter this Bowl Game on the back of a disappointing 7-5 regular season campaign.
The Tigers entered the year with national championship ambitions and got off to a flying start as they upset Clemson on the road on opening day, 17-10.
That proved to be the start of a four-game run that included a 20-10 victory over Florida in their SEC opener, but they went on to lose four of the next five to fall out of contention.
LSU lost 24-19 at Ole Miss, and then failed to back up a 20-10 win against South Carolina as they lost 31-24 at Vanderbilt, 49-25 to Texas A&M and 20-9 at Alabama.
The Tigers finally snapped their skid with a 23-22 win over Arkansas, and after scraping past Western Kentucky in a non-conference game, they ended their SEC slate with a 17-13 loss at Oklahoma.
Houston Form
Houston booked their place in the Texas Bowl by racking up nine wins, more than doubling their 2024 total.
The Cougars opened the season with a four-game win streak that included a 36-20 victory over Colorado in their Big 12 opener.
They then rebounded from a 35-11 defeat to Texas Tech by beating Oklahoma State 39-17, Arizona 31-28 and Arizona State 24-16.
Houston’s run was ended by a 45-35 loss to West Virginia, and they then failed to back up a 30-27 victory at UCF as they lost 17-14 at home to TCU.
That cost the Cougars a shot at the Big 12 crown, but they did close out the regular season with a 31-24 win at Baylor.
Verdict
Houston came up short in the race to make the Big 12 Championship, but it has still been a good season for the Cougars.
The same cannot be said for LSU, who would probably prefer to sit this one out, so give us the more motivated Houston group.
