Atlanta Falcons Form
Atlanta go into this Thursday night matchup having lost seven of their last eight games to fall to 4-9.
The Falcons made a decent start to the season as they won three of their first five games, but the wheels came off after the 20-10 defeat at San Francisco.
They were then blown out at home by Miami, 34-10, before heading back out on the road to lose 24-23 at New England and 31-25 in overtime to Indianapolis in Germany.
Atlanta’s skid reached five games with another overtime loss, this time 30-27 to Carolina, before the finally stopped the rot with a 24-10 win in New Orleans.
The Falcons failed to build on that however, as they were beaten 27-24 at the New York Jets and 37-9 at home to Seattle.
Tampa Bay Buccaneers Form
Tampa Bay enter this game in need of a victory, having lost four of their previous five outings to slip to 7-6.
The Buccaneers made a fast start to the season as they won six of their first eight games, only to cool off in early November.
They fall to a 28-23 defeat at home to New England, and that proved to be the start of a three-game skid as they fell 44-32 at Buffalo and 34-7 at the Los Angeles Rams.
Tampa Bay avoided a fourth straight loss as they returned home to down Arizona, 20-17, but they were unable to back that up.
The Buccaneers returned to losing ways last weekend, as they were beaten 24-20 at home by New Orleans.
Verdict
Tampa Bay’s recent form has been poor, but they are still the better team.
