The Patriots kicked off the campaign with a 20-13 defeat to Las Vegas, only to rebound quickly as they went out on the road to beat division rivals Miami, 33-27.
They failed to back that up as they then suffered another home defeat, falling 21-14 to Pittsburgh, but they have not lost since.
New England got back to .500 as they finally recorded their first home win of the season, beating Carolina 42-13.
The Patriots then backed that up in spectacular fashion last weekend, as they upset the Bills in Buffalo, winning that AFC East showdown 23-20.
New Orleans Saints Form
New Orleans enter this matchup looking to build on a much-needed victory, which ended a four-game winless start.
The Saints opened up with back-to-back home games, but failed to make that count as they lost both matchups.
They fell 20-13 to Arizona, before suffering a 26-21 defeat when they entertained San Francisco.
New Orleans’ miserable run then reached four games on the road, as they were blown out in Seattle, 44-13, and then lost 31-19 at the hands of the Bills in Buffalo.
It proved to be fifth time lucky for the Saints though, as they finally got off the mark with a 26-14 victory at home to the New York Giants last time out.
Verdict
New England will be full of confidence after their big upset of the Bills in Buffalo.
They are capable of backing that up in New Orleans, but the Saints are getting better with each game and are a gritty group that will have home advantage, so give us the free points.
