Pittsburgh Steelers at Baltimore Ravens Preview & Picks
Pittsburgh are tipped to cover as a betting underdog in this massive AFC North matchup.
These two teams tend to engage in low-scoring slugfests that are settled by a one-score margin, and the Steelers have made a habit of covering in this situation.
- Pittsburgh Steelers are 6-3-0 ATS in the last 9 regular season meetings
- 8 of the last 9 regular season meetings have been settled by 7 points or less
- Baltimore Ravens are 2-5-0 ATS in their 7 home games this season
- The Under has cashed in 9 of the previous 10 meetings
Head To Head
- Pittsburgh Steelers lead the all-time series 35-27
- Baltimore Ravens won 34-17 when the two teams last met in December 2024
Pittsburgh Steelers Form
Pittsburgh head to Baltimore on a miserable run of form, having lost five of their last seven games to fall to 6-6.
The Steelers opened with a 34-23 win at the New York Jets, and then rebounded from a 31-17 loss to Seattle by beating New England 21-14 and Minnesota 24-21.
They made it three-in-a-row when they returned from the bye with a 23-9 victory over Cleveland, but it has largely been all downhill since then.
Pittsburgh lost 33-31 at Cincinnati and 35-25 at home to Green Bay, before failing to build on a 27-20 upset of Indianapolis as they lost 25-10 at the Los Angeles Chargers.
The Steelers bounced back with a 34-12 win at home to Cincinnati, only to quickly return to losing ways as they were beaten 31-28 in Chicago and 26-7 at home to Buffalo.
Baltimore Ravens Form
Baltimore enter this big AFC North showdown having seen their five-game run end last time out, dropping them to 6-6.
The Ravens opened the season with a 41-40 loss at Buffalo, and although they rebounded to beat Cleveland 41-17, they failed to build on that victory.
They lost 38-30 to Detroit, 37-20 at Kansas City, 44-10 to Houston, and 17-3 to the Los Angeles Rams as they went into the bye week on a four-game skid.
Baltimore turned it round after the break through, as they backed up a 30-16 win over Chicago with road wins at Miami, 28-6, Minnesota, 27-19, and Cleveland, 23-16.
The Ravens then made it five-in-a-row at home as they downed the New York Jets, 23-10, but they were unable to take their streak to six games as they lost 32-14 to Cincinnati.
Verdict
Both teams appear to be shadows of their former selves, but we expect the trend of low-scoring grinds to continue.
In that instance we have to take the Steelers and the free points – they have routinely covered against the Ravens in recent seasons.
