San Francisco head out on the road in need of a victory after falling to 5-5 with last week’s defeat to division rivals Seattle.
The 49ers opened the season with a 32-19 win over the New York Jets, only to then lose 23-17 at Minnesota and 27-24 at the Los Angeles Rams.
They then went on an inconsistent run as they beat New England 30-13, lost 24-23 to Arizona, won 38-24 in Seattle and lost 28-18 at home to Kansas City.
San Francisco got back to .500 with a 30-24 home win against Dallas, and followed that up with a 23-20 victory at Tampa Bay for their first back-to-back wins of the season.
The 49ers failed to make it three wins in a row however, as they were beaten 20-17 at home by Seattle last time out.
Green Bay Packers Form
Green Bay go into this game having scraped past Chicago a week ago to improve their record to 7-3.
The Packers lost their season opener against Philadelphia in Brazil, 34-29, but rallied over the next couple of weeks as they beat Indianapolis 16-10 and Tennessee 30-14.
They fell to .500 with a 31-29 home defeat to Minnesota, but issued a good response as they went on to win their next four.
Green Bay beat the Los Angeles Rams 24-19 on the road, and then downed Arizona 34-13 and Houston 24-22 at home, before heading back out on the road to win 30-27 in Jacksonville.
The Packers failed to make it five-in-a-row as they lost 24-14 at home to Detroit, but they did bounce back last weekend as they held on to win 20-19 in Chicago.
Verdict
Green Bay’s most recent wins have been far from convincing and their recent record against San Francisco is not promising either.
