Dallas head to Vegas in serious trouble, having suffered back-to-back defeats on the home ice.
The Stars charged into the postseason thanks to a 52-21-9 regular-season record that earned them top spot in the Central Division.
They won 12 of their final 14 games to fend off Winnipeg, but they have failed to keep that run going in the playoffs.
Dallas suffered a setback as they were beaten 4-3 by Vegas in the series-opener at American Airlines Center.
Then, to make matters even worse, the Stars failed to issue an immediate response as they lost 3-1 to the Golden Knights in Game 2, meaning they must win at least one of the next two games in Vegas.

The Golden Knights put together a 45-29-8 record in the regular season to finish fourth in the Pacific Division and book their place in the playoffs.
