They returned home to lose 6-5 to Washington in overtime and 8-5 to Tampa Bay in regulation, before heading to Detroit for a 5-3 defeat.
New Jersey’s skid reached four games with a 4-3 defeat to New York Islanders, before they finally snapped that losing run with a 6-2 win over Anaheim.
The Devils then won 6-0 in Vancouver, only to suffer a 3-0 defeat when they visited Calgary on Friday.

Edmonton return home having won four of their previous five games to improve their record to 6-5-1.
The Oilers opened the season with three straight defeats and went on to lose five of their first seven games.
They have kick-started their campaign since then though, starting with a 4-0 victory when they hosted Pittsburgh.
Edmonton then won 3-2 in overtime in Detroit, before moving on to Columbus for a 6-1 defeat to the Blue Jackets.
The Oilers responded quickly to that loss though, winning 5-1 in Nashville before heading to Calgary for a 4-2 victory.
