The Jets were red-hot for a time in November, reeling off eight wins during a nine-game spell that included a five-game win streak.
That run was halted by a 3-2 defeat in Nashville, and they failed to rebound from that quickly as they then returned home to lose 2-0 to Dallas and 3-1 to Edmonton.
Winnipeg did get back on track at home though, beating Chicago 3-1 and Carolina 2-1 at home to spark a four-game win streak.
The Jets then went out on the road to record a 4-2 win in Colorado and a 4-2 victory at Anaheim, but they failed to make it five-in-a-row as they lost 2-1 in San Jose last night.
Los Angeles Kings Form
Los Angeles return home looking to bounce back from a couple of defeats that dropped their record to 16-5-4.
The Kings enjoyed a five-game win streak in the second half of November, and rebounded quickly from a 2-1 loss to Washington that ended their run.
They beat Colorado 4-1 and then went out on the road to win two more games and take their win streak to three games.
Los Angeles ran out 4-3 winners in overtime when they visited Columbus, and then then shut out Montreal in a 4-0 win.
The Kings’ form tailed off in New York though, as they suffered a 3-2 overtime defeat to the Islanders, before losing 4-1 to the Rangers.
Verdict
Winnipeg have been strong on the road this season and Los Angeles have racked up a bunch of defeats at home, so the Jets make for an appealing underdog here.
